A Woman’s Path to Leadership: Legislative Panel

Women public officials and manufacturing leaders will discuss their pathway to leadership. Topics will include the importance of being a risk taker, mentorship, and how women can model new paradigms of leadership and power. Panelists are:

Inspiring Young Girls Through Mentorship

“When they see it, they believe they can be it.”

Greg Cummings, Vice President of Programing, MEGA Mentors, will discuss the importance of mentoring young females so they can excel in the classroom and beyond.  WiM Virginia is excited to partner with MEGA Mentors to make a positive, measurable difference in the lives of African-American and other underrepresented students in the Chesterfield County Public School System through mentoring, tutoring, experiential field trips and recognition.  If you’re passionate about inspiring the next generation of leaders, please join us.

Cracking the Confidence Code

To succeed, confidence matters as much as competence. However, evidence shows women are less self-assured than men. How do we tap into flourishing female confidence and nurture it to succeed? In this dynamic presentation by author and publisher Kimberly Eley, we’ll examine the challenges to female confidence, and discuss practical ways to close the confidence gap and empower women in the workplace.
