Design of Experiments
This one day seminar covers the basics of how to lay out an experiment, perform the experiment, and analyze the results. Topics to be covered are:
- Full factorial designs
- Evolutionary Operations and Simples
- Fractional Factorial designs
- Generators and confounding
- Determination of Error
- Experiments to reduce Variation
- Process Empirical modeling
- Interactions and their significance
- Advantages of Center Point
- Graphical Methods for determining significance
- Screening Designs
- Conversion of Machine Settings to Orthogonal Settings
- Responses and Factor
- Replication vs Repeated observations
- Cpk as a response
This is a very “Hands-On” presentation. Participants will have an opportunity to work with a 11 factor simulator and the unique simplex optimization device (one per two participant) . This is a practical seminar and participants will be able to immediately apply the skills learned to began improving their processes.
Measurement Error Assessment
This discussion will focus on the significance of measurement error for variables. Participants will learn first hand how to measure the error of the measuring process, reduce the error, and determine the level of confidence in their measurement error assessment. This presentation is very “Hands-on” and participants will perform an actual measurement error assessment using a measurement device. Special forms and tables will be provided.
