TemperPack To Expand Virginia Operations, Create 141 New Jobs

The Richmond (VA) Times-Dispatch (5/21, Blackwell) reports that “TemperPack, a Richmond-based manufacturer of sustainable packaging technology for perishable goods, has expanded its local operations and plans to create about 141 new jobs.” TemperPack Director of Marketing John Briney says the after expanding their Henrico facility, “we expect to be able to produce substantially more material for our clients.” According to the Times-Dispatch, “At the new facility, the company also will make a proprietary insulation material called ClimaCell that is fully curbside recyclable.” Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam (D) is quoted saying, “With the rise in consumers ordering groceries, meals, and medication online, TemperPack tapped into a booming shipping market, and created an environmentally friendly product that comes with less waste than traditional packaging.” WTVR-TV Richmond, VA (5/21) also reports.
