SchaeferRolls To Invest $12M in New Virginia Facility, Create 31 Jobs

The Roanoke Time reports that Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam (D) announced on Monday that “SchaeferRolls Inc. will invest $12 million to build a 40,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Covington [Virginia] and create 31 new jobs.” The company “produces polymer-based roll covers for machinery used in paper, packaging, automotive and other industries.” According to the article, construction on the new facility “is set to begin immediately and the company said it should be at full employment within 36 months.” SchaeferRolls Vice President and General Manager JT Fisher is quoted saying, “Our company was looking for a second location that would enable us to better serve our customers in the South. Covington gives us exactly what we need, good transportation options and a skilled labor force, allowing us to provide enhanced economic values to our customers.”
