The Governor's Environmental Excellence Awards for Manufacturers are supported by Virginia's Governor, Secretary of Natural Resources, and Department of Environmental Quality. This awards program encourages Virginia's industries to develop new products that will enhance the state's pollution prevention policy and to help industry practice excellent environmental stewardship by recognizing outstanding efforts in this area each year. Since inception of this program in 1995, the Virginia Manufacturers Association (VMA) has facilitated the process and hosted presentation of the awards each fall. VMA's Environmental Outreach Group is proud to underwrite the costs of the program.
