Brooks Smith

Brooks Smith is a partner on the environmental team at Hunton & Williams LLP, where he focuses on emerging issues under the Clean Water Act. Brooks is long-time counsel to the Virginia Manufacturers Association on water issues, and he serves in a similar capacity for other organizations all across the country. In addition to his work in the Chesapeake Bay watershed, Brooks has participated in bellwether water proceedings in the Charleston Harbor, Savannah Harbor, Long Island Sound and Ohio/Mississippi Rivers. He is currently collaborating with ORSANCO, EPRI, American Farmland Trust and others on an interstate water quality trading program for the Ohio River Basin.
