2019 Richmond Town Hall Meeting @ Richmond Raceway

Please join us for the Richmond Town Hall at Richmond Raceway on Thursday, April 11th.  This is the Thursday before the spring TOYOTACARE 250 and Toyota Owners 400 races.  This meeting brings together businesses, community partners and regional leaders to highlight critical issues for the manufacturing sector as well as allow attendees to experience the fun and excitement of NASCAR Cup Series action at America’s Premier Short Track.

The meeting will take place in the Torque Club from 1pm-5pm.  Program topics will include:

  • Workforce Solutions – Closing the Skills Gap by 2020
    • Pre-Employment Screening
    • Safety Certification, Micro Learning Safety Training
    • Workplace Behavioral Assessment
    • ChemTech Certification
  • Virginia Legislative Update (Fuel Tax Increase, RGGI/Electricity Costs, Local Tax Appeals, 2019 Election)
  • Resources for Expanding International Trade $8B by 2025
  • Women in Manufacturing Council and STEP Ahead Recognition Luncheon
  • Tour Richmond Raceway

Please enter through Gate 4 (directions to Gate 4) and the security guard will direct you to the Torque Club parking area and entrance.  The dress is business casual.  After the meeting, attendees will be given a tour of the NEW infield, pit area, winners circle and finish line.  You must wear closed toe shoes to participate in the raceway tour.  There will also be a cocktail reception sponsored by Kaufman & Canoles featuring appetizers and Virginia Craft Beer in the Torque Lounge from 5pm-7pm.  This event is free for all VMA members however you must register your attendance.

We are pleased to announce that the Virginia Craft Brewers Guild will host the Richmond Raceway Craft Beer Fest on Saturday, April 13 in partnership with Richmond Raceway.  The event will be held from 1pm-5pm prior to Saturday’s NASCAR race that evening.
