June 22: SBA Tools for Small Business Exporters and Global Supply Chains

As we continue to confront the COVID-19 crisis, the Virginia Manufacturers Association (VMA) and U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) are teaming up to make sure that Virginia manufacturers are aware of SBA resources at their disposal.  With countries affected by coronavirus earlier than the U.S. beginning to re-open, global market opportunities are beginning to re-emerge.  This has implications for companies that are selling overseas and/or part of a global supply chain.  Speakers and topics include:

  • VEDP Resources & Virginia Trade Plan – Stephanie Agee, VP, Virginia International Trade
  • Debt Relief component of the CARES Act and implications for SBA export finance products and other resources available to Virginia manufacturers – Michele Schimpp, Acting Associate Administrator, SBA Office of International Trade
  • Growing Global Sales with help of SBA Export Financing – Bill Houck, SBA Regional Export Finance Manager
  • Local Resources for Small Business Exporters – Aaron Miller, VA SBDC
  • Trade Builds Virginia Campaign – Brett Vassey, President & CEO, VMA

If you were unable to attend this webinar, it is now available to view here. You may also review the presentations referenced by Michele & Bill from SBA, Stephanie from VEDP, and Aaron Miller from VA SBDC. Don’t forget to also check out our landing page for Trade Builds Virginia.

June 29: 2020 General Assembly Highlights and VMA Wrap Up Report Results
